INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND BIO-ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Aims
The purpose of the network is to satisfy the need for increased practical and theoretical knowledge in the creation of innovation from bioscience research in the region. Specifically, advanced skills and tools in IP management and innovation, technology transfer, venture creation, and business development are required to insure a return on the huge investment in bioscience research for industry, universities, and society. Thus the network will focus on the following core activities:
- Education and training programs focused on different actors including university students, researchers, technology transfer professionals, and business actors involved in bioscience activities.
- Research into new operational theories and development of new interdisciplinary business tools to address the creation of early-stage bioscience innovations in universities and SMEs and business development in established companies.
- Real venture and corporate entrepreneurship projects, including the creation of real bioscience start-ups as well as innovation projects within bioscience-based SMEs, pharma, and healthcare institutions.
