Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
PAT is defined as a system for designing, analyzing and controlling pharmaceutical manufacturingthrough timely measurements of critical quality and performance properties of raw materials and inprocess materials and processes with the goal to ensure final product quality. The foreseen results of using the PAT framework are reduction of production cycle time with more advanced measurement and control methods, prevention of rejects and reprocessing, real-time release of products from the manufacturing line. In addition it will allow for more automation and savings of energy and material.
The PAT network is being coordinated by Prof. Carl-Fredrik Mandenius, Linköping University, Sweden.
A network group is established between participants in Lithuania, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. New participants are welcomed.
